BEING USED OR SITTING IT OUT!

Being used

J. Sidlow Baxter is one of my favorite writers. One of his yearly devotional books has inspired me for many years. When we are chosen "IN CHRIST" God cleanses us. The process doesn't stop there; He then Molds us and fills us and then He uses us. You can see that this is a process, a journey, a marathon and a lifelong expedition. If you are sitting on the sidelines setting out the game of the Christian life, then I challenge you to join the process God has chosen for your life. The cleansing can be challenging and sometimes gut-wrenching. Being molded on the potter's wheel can be a merry- go -round experience. Being filled means we must be emptied before we can be filled. In spite of this experience, it is much more satisfying, fulfilling, gratifying, enjoyable and rewarding being used of God than sitting on the sideline. My challenge in this blog is for us to surrender and to be emptied of self and allow God to be in control of us in order for Him to do His work in us so we might be used of God.
